Eden Luna is a determined and socially engaged designer and researcher. She tackles societal and urgent matters. She connects (to) people with ambition and joy and turns difficulties into powerful adventures, looking for exciting perspectives and playfulness.
She believes that systems need to be rethought and improved. Through trusting each other and enabling people to connect and take ownership, great changes could be achieved.
She can make complex issues accessible and welcoming through the use of speculation, storytelling, immersive installation, games, and unusual research methods.

EDUCATION
— 2022-2024, Design Master, Emily Carr University of Art + Design (ECUAD), Vancouver, Canada.
Multidisciplinary Design Master’s focused on sustainability and social design.
— 2018-2022, Design Bachelor, at the Design Academy of Eindhoven (DAE), Netherlands.
Studio Urgencies, human and future centred education through various means, collaborations in between students but also with professional partners.
WORK EXPERIENCE/VOLUNTEERISM
— 2021-2022, Internship, at Vraiment Vraiment, France.
Design agency that aims at making a design of general interest. Worked on 4 projects full time and helped on several others, such as tenders for the French ministry of education, or Paris habitat for the remodelling of a neighbourhood.
Varied tasks: ideation, design proposals, building up of an exhibition, graphic work (more than 30 diagrams for one of the tender), creation of tools for workshops, animation of workshops of 5 to 15 people, analysis of discussion, report of workshops.

Researcher and Editor in Chief, animating workshops for 17 people, time management, conducting 20 interviews with citizens and experts, looking for a global vision to build the future of Brabant, Netherlands.

Aimed at making the DAE more inclusive and open to people from different backgrounds, looking into equal opportunities and well-being.
PUBLIC REPRESENTATIONS

Presentation to the design studio West 8 and the representatives of the Van Gogh National Park of my projects Embodied Democracy and Inner City. Presented in an outdoor and indoor exhibition, curated as a team, in which I took general decisions on the overall shape of it, as well as taking part in the making of the displays of 6 of the 18 projects.

The Iron Kitchen project for Brabantia exhibited on the website https://leisure-exhibition-2020.webflow.io/ I contributed to the website by taking care of the interaction part through social media and the creation of digital events to make the digital exhibition visible.
